A child's heart

My child is....well...rather spirited. She does things and [TRIES] to say things that are just downright funny to us. Tonight, however, she was so sweet.

During her prayers we were thanking Jesus for our friends, our teachers and before I could say another word, I hear "....and daddy....and papa.....and meeweee." Precious. Such a sweet moment. For those who aren't fluent in "Evie," that translates to daddy, Papa Ron and Millie (my mom).

Ironically, I'm not so sure she isn't sitting in timeout in this picture... If I had to guess, she was probably asking for "daddy..pappa.. and meeweee." Mercy!

"Row Tie"

At this point right now, I have somehow thwarted all attempts of my child being bound and gagged to the "dark" side that is Auburn football.....for now.

We meet again!

Well, HELLO faithful friends! To say we have been MIA might be a slight understatement. Also, to say we have been busy would also be a slight understatement, I'd say. Things have been slightly hairy at the Blacks the past couple of weeks with work schedules, stuff going on in the evenings and, OF COURSE, EB being/getting/staying sick. “Weeza” was with her Pappa Ron on Monday because she wasn’t feeling like her fiery little self. To make a long story short, we ended up rendezvousing at an emergency doctor’s appointment because she was having a very hard time breathing. So, two breathing treatments and an x-ray later, we were sent home (thankfully… there was a split second where being admitted was mentioned) to do little treatments every four hours for a 24 hour period. LOVELY.However, she’s back to her wild ways, big eyed self and feeling like a champ as she swings from the rafters and treats my furniture like a trampoline. In the past few weeks, we officially closed out the summer with the Orientation Leaders. We love them and wish them an AWESOME year! We went to a pretend pep rally and EB wore.it.out. with her signature moves. She also took it all in and surveyed “her” land.... ...And decided she very well may be a cheerleader-despite her clothes being a tad big and her pigtails being a bit lopsided. Her little spirit is quite contagious.
