I'm a few days shy of 30. Unreal...Simply because I still feel 25. My sweet husband and some of our best friends planned a little jaunt out west to hit the slopes to ease the transition. Or maybe it was an attempt to truly make me feel my age- Nothing a few trips to the hot tub can't cure.

We're ready!
Santa’d up.
A year makes a huge difference. Last year, we ALL got to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what we wanted. This year, EB marched up there, verified that he WOULD indeed be paying a visit to her house and checked off her list right then and there.
Decorated.
We have too much “Christmas” in our house [BLASTED PINTEREST!!]… but it’s comforting, isn’t it? I threatened to take half of it down in a text conversation with Jason because I can’t function in there under those conditions, but…. Better to have the halls decked with boughs of holly, I suppose.
My Pandora app is hands down my most favorite app on my phone. Currently, I have about six Christmas song channels ready to go at a moment’s notice. On the Country Christmas station I heard a wonderful twangy version of something from Mr. George Strait himself. He mentioned, “humbly kneeling by the manger.” I like that… A LOT. It is now the image on the forefront of my mind this month.

Yeah yeah yeah... I loved this font on Pinterest.

A new craze
We are SLOWLY sticking our toes into the world of princesses. Lately, EB has shown a fondness to Snow White. She particularly loves when the seven dwarves sing “Hi Ho.” Here is her rendition….listen closely to the beginning….
Somehow she’s confused. I’m not sure if it’s worth correcting or not.

For love of the game
A message from a fan (remember: she’s not quite three… the fight song has lots of words…but her heart is TOTALLY there):

Pin THAT!
So, friends, when I get hooked on something, unfortunately, I.AM.DOUBLE.HOOKED. I resisted the ol' pin-interest (I-for real- thought that's what it was called until a friend said it correctly and I stared at her. Thank goodness I'm surround by smarter people every day of my life) for QUITE some time. Like I need ONE more thing to distract me. I gave in... hard.
I've done two things already in the two days I've been a member. Unfortunately, again, I can't color inside the lines, much less paint, sew or do anything else that is REMOTELY creative. So, sites like this are created to help the creatively handicapped like Yours Truly. If it requires hot glue or something I already have, I'm SOLD. So....so far... I've had a camera and..well.. so far that's all I've needed.

I saw this picture of this little girl and I quote, "Hang camera around your neck+ auto timer and spin." We rushed home, ran straight to the back yard and there we spun and spun. I in a suit and EB in crazy school hair. I'm slow, so it took us about six times to get it KINDA right. Then, someone mentioned chicken pot pie and I was a step closer to losing my lunch on my black suit. BUT.... I think it was fun and worth it. I'll try again when it isn't dark-thirty outside. Also, EB thought I was the bestest, most fun mom ever for spinning and spinning and spinning her. Double plus! When daddy is out of town, we live on the WILD side.
Knock knock...
Tinkerbell flew in for "hallo-wing day."
Who can blame her for wanting a chocolate buffet??

Everyone was told to say trick or treat and pose,
Uh oh, Jason must’ve seen a witch with a big warty nose.
Tinkerbell and a fireman took to the streets,
All to get their mommas some Halloween treats.
(We did meet a witch who rode in on her broom-
I'm sure this will come back to haunt and I'll find a scared fairy in my room.)
Tinkerbell got tired and couldn’t take flight...
Her asthma kicked in and we called it a fun night.
With lots of memories and treats in tow...
Tinkerbell passed out back in pixie hollow.
